Scottsdale Events: Arizona Taco Festival Dos | Oct 15th at the Scottsdale Waterfront

The date is set October 15, 2011. Everyone from Valley restaurants to amateur competitors will sign up for their chance to taco-battle it out for $7,500. Expect a huge VIP Tent, Lucha Libre wrestling, beer donkeys, a main bar experience sponsored by a local taco shop, a Margarita Challenge, hot chile pepper eating contest, and a Boutique Tequila Expo Tent featuring over 30 different brands of premium tequilas, a kid’s zone, and so much more.

The 30 competitive taco teams will cook off in any combination of four categories—chicken, beef, pork, and seafood—while sometimes also entering the salsa and guacamole contests as they chose. Teams will bring their food trucks, hottest booth decor, and crazy surprises.

All of this only cost $10 to enter and $2 per taco sample. Of course, there’s a VIP ticket, too! Details to come…

So get ready, we’re turning the Scottsdale Waterfront into taco town. Select proceeds from all profits benefited Anne Rita Monahan Foundation, an organization that supports ovarian cancer research.
